Trade can, and must, be part of the solutions sought, despite the widely held belief that trade is one of the causes of climate issues. Trade policy decisions can improve the lives of women and children in a very practical way: access to clean cook stoves and non-polluting cooking fuels through trade can significantly improve their quality of life and health. AFRIWOCC 2023 is asking the right questions, and the WTO is ready to work with African nations to provide answers.
