The UNDP also participated and supported the launch of the Africa Students for Climate Action (ASCA). Launched on June 7th, 2024, this project aims to empower students aged 9-18 across Africa with the knowledge, skills, and values needed to address climate change through education, advocacy, and innovative local solutions. The project seeks to create a generation of environmentally conscious leaders who will drive sustainable development and climate resilience within their communities, ultimately benefiting young people, schools, and society at large.
